Engineering Plus, Inc. and its Predecessor firms have continuously offered engineering and surveying services in Meridian since 1929.

The story begins in 1929 when Mr. L.B. Brandon opened a consulting engineering and surveying service in Meridian and served as County Engineer for Kemper, Lauderdale and Winston Counties. In 1965 Mr. J.W. Kemp began working for Mr. Brandon and when Mr. Brandon retired, Mr. Kemp purchased the firm.

In 1980, the firm was incorporated. Terrell Temple, who joined the firm in 1977, became a principal.

In 1985, Mr. Kemp was elected Mayor of the City of Meridian and relinquished operating control to Mr. Temple.

In 1987, Mr. Temple purchased the company and changed the name of the firm to Engineering Plus, Inc. The firm has continued to offer and provide quality engineering services in the areas of environmental engineering, general civil engineering, roadway and site design, geotechnical engineering, quality control and materials testing, landscape design and surveying.

In 1991, Engineering Plus purchased the consulting engineering firm of Oliver Mitchell & Associates of Columbus, Mississippi. This purchase allowed an expansion into the northeastern part of Mississippi and provided better coverage of those areas we already serve.

In 2020, Richmond Alexander and Steve Miller became principals of the firm. Mr. Temple, Mr. Alexander and Mr. Miller are dedicated to leading the firm forward while continuing to provide high quality engineering services and maintain client-based relations built on trust and quality work.
